Playback ICE, offers this digital eResource version of the How Well Do You Know Your School? providing a facility for schools to record, review and update their reflections from the self-evaluation published resources. The eResource provides a whole school approach to improvement planning and supports the key questions, How are we doing? How we know? What are we going to do now? by identifying positive practice already in place, areas for improvement and how these needs are to be met.
The eResource further supports the embedding of self-evaluation into everyday classroom practice. In addition to supporting planning for improvement, the eResource can be used to inform School Improvement Reports and will also provide useful evidence for HMI inspections as it supports Quality Indicators contained in HGIOS 4. It will also provide an historical perspective of the school’s journey towards achieving excellence.
“Its flexibility provides a cogent resource in the development of a credible practice for underpinning School Improvement Planning, where all players can be involved and heard, enabling us to become Critical Friends to each other and developing a Peer Mentoring model – I commend this elearning programme and would encourage you to catch this most wholesome and healthy of habits!”. Gerry Dempsey, DHT St Andrew’s HS
Playback ICE will deliver comprehensive training in the use of the eResource to members of the management team and other key staff members.
The resource also takes account of ‘The evaluation schedule for the inspection of maintained schools and academies’, Ofsted, 2012. (UK)
