Working Practices offers a ready made resource that will support school leaders to agree shared values, between pupils, parents/carers and staff, to support children’s learning. The resource will assist the school in identifying strengths and areas for improvement across a range of working practices in relation to fairness and respect, having a say, celebrating difference, challenging behaviour, health and wellbeing, assemblies and the playground.
It offers evaluative questionnaires to identify and assess whole school communication and development within working practices in order to assist schools in reaching a shared understanding of the importance of a healthy, inclusive ethos is in practice as well as policy.
The resource will:
- gather information about current perceptions and views across identified areas
- develop understanding of the importance of engaging all stakeholders in the process of evaluation
- identify areas for improvement regarding current policy and practice that will benefit the whole school community
